A Decorated Professional Takes on Two Divisions
Johnny Dotson entered the 2026 ANBF Northeast Classic with one of the most accomplished competitive résumés on the Team SUF roster.
He is a former Mr. America, a highly decorated Men’s Physique professional, and has also earned professional status in Classic Physique. Rather than limiting himself to one familiar division at the Northeast Classic, Johnny decided to test himself in both Pro Men’s Physique and Pro Open Men’s Bodybuilding.
Competing successfully across two divisions requires more than simply changing posing trunks. Men’s Physique and bodybuilding place different demands on muscularity, presentation, posing, structure, and conditioning. Preparing to stand against experienced professionals in both categories required a complete package and the confidence to display it effectively.
Johnny delivered a strong performance in Pro Men’s Bodybuilding, earning third place in a competitive professional lineup. It was an impressive result for an athlete primarily known for his success in Men’s Physique and demonstrated the depth and versatility of his physique.
He then returned to the stage for Pro Men’s Physique, the division in which he has established himself as one of the most successful natural professionals in the sport.
Another Professional Victory
Johnny won the Pro Men’s Physique division and advanced to the final comparison for the Northeast Classic Championship Belt.
He faced Oscar Moscat for the title of Best Pro Male in Show. Johnny ultimately finished as the runner-up for the belt, but the result capped an excellent day that included another professional victory and a top-three bodybuilding finish.
His performance was a strong example of what experience, versatility, and continued natural bodybuilding coaching can produce. Even after earning major titles and building an extensive competitive résumé, Johnny continues to challenge himself against strong competition and across multiple divisions.
The Northeast Classic Championship Belt narrowly escaped him, but his Pro Men’s Physique victory added another significant result to an already decorated career.
Johnny remains a dangerous competitor every time he steps on stage. His ability to win in Men’s Physique while also placing highly in professional bodybuilding demonstrates why he continues to be one of Team SUF’s most accomplished athletes.
Congratulations to Johnny Dotson on winning Pro Men’s Physique, placing third in Pro Men’s Bodybuilding, and finishing runner-up for the Championship Belt at the 2026 ANBF Northeast Classic.
